Boot-ylicious

Gestern war hier ein Foto von meinen großartigen Evans-Stiefeln. Sie sind großartig, im wahrsten Sinne des Wortest, sie sind mir nämlich eine Nummer zu groß und zu weit, weshalb ich in normalen Strumpfhosen darin „schwimme“. Aber dieser Zustand war nur ein Grund für mich, mir unglaublich coole Kniestrümpfe zu kaufen und meine rosa Flauschsocken zu tragen. Fotos von den coolen grauen Kniestrümpfen folgen, Fotos von den rosa Flauschsocken wird’s wohl nie geben!

Yesterday I uploaded a picture of my great Evans-boots. They are great, in the truest sense of the word, they are one size too big and a bit too wide, wherefore I “swim” in them, when I wear normal tights. But this situation was just a good reason for buying unbelievable cool knee-high socks and to wear my fluffy pink socks. I will put up pictures of the cool grey knee-high socks soon, pictures of the fluffy pink socks will never be made!

Obwohl ich nun diese unglaublichen Stiefel habe (die mir übrigens Tränen in die Augen getrieben haben, als ich sie das erste Mal anprobiert habe, und sie sogar um meine Unterschenkel gepasst haben), hätte ich doch gerne noch ein Paar Stiefel. Das liegt zum einen daran, dass ich heute in der Zeitung gelesen habe, dass dieser Winter in Oslo der kälteste der letzten tausend Jahre werden soll, zum anderen aber auch daran, dass meine Evans-Stiefel grau und nicht aus Leder sind.

Although I own now these amazing boots (which made me by the way almost cry, when I tried them on the first time, as they fitted perfectly around my calfs), I would like to have another pair of boots. The reason for this is on the one hand that I read in today’s newspaper that this winter in Oslo should be the coldest of the last thousand years, on the other hand that my Evans-boots are grey and not out of leather.

Deshalb hätte gerne entweder Stiefel in schwarz (die Farbe, die die unumstößliche Regentschaft in meinem Kleiderschrank innehat) oder karamellbraun (ich liebe Karamell, besonders im Vanilla Caramel Brownie Häagen Dazs) und im besten Fall wären sie gefüttert. Und aus Leder sollen sie sein, weil Leder wie Perlmutt ist: es wird schöner, je länger man es trägt.

Therefore I would like to have some boots in black (the color that holds the irrevocable regency in my closet) or caramel brown (I love caramel, especially in Vanilla Brownie Häagen Dazs) and in the best case the boots would be padded. And they should be out of leather, as leather is like pearls: The longer you wear them, the better it looks.

Wer mich aber kennt, oder einfach nur mitbekommen hat, dass ich letztes Wochenende in Göteborg war, weiß, dass ich in meiner derzeitigen Finanzsituation frühestens in drei bis vier Jahren mit neuen Stiefeln rechnen kann. Aber träumen darf man ja. Deshalb hier eine kleine Auswahl meiner Favoriten für den Titel „ANTB – Ana’s Next Top Boot“.

But who knows me, or who just noticed that I spend my last weekend in Gothenburg, knows that my current financial situations allows me new boots in three or four years at the earliest. But dreaming is still allowed. Therefore it follows a selection of my favorites for the title of “ANTB – Ana’s Next Top Boot”.
